Section Views

A section is a view of no thickness and shows the outline of the object at the cutting plane.
Section views. They are created by using a cutting plane to cut the object. Sectioning an already placed view which shows the internal holes and a shaded cut surface. The section line can also include concentric arcs.

Such sections are labeled section a a section b b etc corresponding to the letter designation at the ends of the cutting plane line. Visible outlines beyond the cutting plane are not drawn. The section view can be a straight cut section or an offset section defined by a stepped section line.
