Insert Section Break Word

To insert a page or section break place the cursor where you want one section page to end and the next section page to begin.
Insert section break word. The next page section break starts a new page and starts the new section on the new page. Double click the header or footer on the first page of the new section. If you re still using 2003 choose break from.
In the page setupsection locate the breaksbutton and click or tap on it. Select one of the breaks from the drop down list by clicking on one of them. Position the toothpick cursor where you want the new section to start.
Select layout breaks next page. Word treats a document as a single section until you insert a section break. Go to layout breaks.
Click or tap the layouttab on the ribbon. First make sure you position the cursor in the document in the place where you want to start a new section. Next page section break starts the new section on the following page.
Click link to previous to turn it off and unlink the header or footer from the previous section. Open a word 2013 doument. Click the layout tab on the ribbon.
A menu appears listing several. You can also select page breaks and other types of section breaks by using the third tab on the ribbon menu bar called page layout. Section formatted as a single column section break that controls the layout and formatting of the preceding section identified by 1 section formatted as two columns.
